You've Got Questions, We've Got AnswersHow close to the ETSU campus are your apartments?Our main office is exactly 1 mile from the D.P. Culp Center and 9/10’s of a mile from the Mini-Dome. Do I have to share common areas with a roommate?We are not a communal living complex. We offer private apartments that will allow you to have a space that is uniquely yours without having the hassles brought on by too many roommates. Do you accept credit cards?Not at this time. We currently only accept personal checks, money orders, and cashier’s checks. Can I request a specific apartment?Yes, you can request it. We rent on a first come, first serve basis, and strive to meet all potential residents’ requests when selecting their future apartment. Do I have to be a student to live at Evergreen Terrace?Our complex is a family owned business and has no restrictions on who can rent with us. Is there a bus service?The Johnson City Transit has pick up sites conveniently located in the areas neighboring our complex. Do you allow pets?No, we do not accept pets What all is included in the rent?Water, garbage, sewer, wireless internet, and monthly pest control are included in the rent prices at the majority of our locations. Longview Avenue and Hillcrest Drive are the exceptions. Do you have washers and dryers in the apartments?No. We do have coin operated laundry facilities located in each building. What comes in the apartment?Refrigerators and stoves are standard in each of our apartments. Depending on the size of the apartment, some also feature a dishwasher. Each apartment comes equipped with tissue paper holders, towel racks, and shower curtain rods. You will find white mini blinds installed on each window. In addition, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and deadbolt locks are provided. When is rent due?Rent is always due on the first of each month. There is a five day grace period. Late fees are charged on the sixth day of each month. How do I pay rent?Rent payments can be brought into our office, mailed to our office, or put into the drop slot beside our office door. Can I pay my rent in advance?Of course you can. Can I set up auto draft for rent payments?Most banks offer a Bill Pay or Auto Pay feature. That is something that you will set up directly with your Bank. Once set up, your bank will automatically send us rent checks each month. Be sure to include the resident’s name and apartment number when setting up this feature. What happens if I need something fixed in my apartment?During normal office hours, service work orders can be placed by calling our main office. In the event of an emergency after hours, an On-Call Emergency number is provided at the time of move in. What happens if I need to reach someone at night or on the weekends?Emergency phone numbers are provided to all residents for after hours issues. We have an On-Call Maintenance person twenty four hours a day that will handle emergency problems. Also from 9:00 P.M. until 5:00 A.M., we have a Property Monitor on duty to handle any other issues that may arise. How do I pay my electricity bill?Your electricity bill will be paid directly to the Johnson City Power Board. Am I allowed to have overnight guests?Yes. We ask guests staying overnight check into the office to obtain a temporary parking permit. When will my lease end?Your lease ending date will be July 31st of the following year. What happens to my security deposit?Your security deposit is held on your account and returned to you minus any cleaning or damage charges upon moving out at the end of your lease.
